Run by lovers of food, fun and fabulous décor, Showroom transports the curious on a journey of eating, shopping and playing.
This quirky café and décor shop is all about hearty breakfasts, high teas, champagne brunches and extravagant lunches… and décor and gifts to take home! It’s an escape from the office for a quick cuppa, a meeting place where friends get together for a function and a shopping spot for vintage finds and modern décor alike.
An eclectic interior, diverse menu and tangible sense of playfulness make this Stellenbosch gem so delightfully unique and inviting. It represents something that one cannot describe but wants to experience over and over again.

Sunelle Born and bred on a farm in Rawsonville, Sunelle initially studied Accounting at Stellenbosch University. But you can’t box a creative mind! So Sunelle decided to follow her first passion and study drama. With her natural dramatic flare, shows and plays followed. Sunelle eventually settled in Pietermaritzburg where the famous Merlot Manor was born. This guest house, restaurant and wedding venue was as theatrical as she is. After many years of dress-up parties and functions that kept locals guessing, Sunelle returned to Stellenbosch and continued decorating and catering for some of the most unique parties that the Boland had seen in a while. The newest extension of this being Showroom…

Simone Originally from Pretoria, Simone moved to Stellenbosch to study BA Socio-Informatics and landed herself an ‘office job’. But she couldn’t keep herself away from spending every available hour on food websites of all flavour. Having realised that ‘office job’ was not her ideal career, Simone headed off to The Culinary Academy (TCA) to become better acquainted with the culinary arts. After graduating, Simone spent time at Umami in Stellenbosch, and La Motte in Franschhoek. Two years later it was time to spread her wings and start a new adventure… that is Showroom…

At Showroom we like to think of our menu as a culinary tale we share with you and our eclectic menu has something to suit all tastes and appetites.
With us, breakfast and brunch is a grand affair. From our exceptional coffee and the old favourites, to our more imaginative creations – all with the option to add a glass of bubbly.
At lunch time, you are spoilt for choice – indulge in one of the chef’s creations or enjoy the lavish, ever-changing buffet.
Our cake display is filled daily with a variety of sweet temptations – from our traditional cheesecake and gold covered red velvet cake, to popcorn flavoured macaroons and chocolate carrot cake for the more adventurous sweet tooth.

you can order from our extensive list of platters, drinks, cakes and meals. From our decadent cake selection to a homemade chicken and herb pie, or even an instant canape platter!

Everything in Showroom is for sale. Yes, you’ve read that correctly.
In the café area you can buy vintage furniture, the stuff on the walls, even your tea spoon. You’re welcome to take anything that catches your eye to the till and settle it with your coffee bill.
As you sip your tea you can also browse through our décor section – this section showcases furniture and interior accessories from Interior Concepts. At Showroom, we don’t simply prepare delicious cuisine for every occasion, we can also create the occasion. Showroom is a venue dripping with creative possibilities and our team is perfectly placed to organise everything, providing delectable nibbles and sumptuous feasts.

In a nutshell, we take the pain out of organising your important day and we add the ingredients that are always changing, always different and always sensational. We are specialists, we enjoy a challenge and love being creative.
